Doug’s Burger

The last place I expected a fantastic burger was in Miyako. Great service is the name of the game and you can enjoy Coffee and Tea at their sister coffer shop right next door while you wait to sit. Plan for waiting at least 30 min for a table. Prices are also on the high end but the quality of the food is beyond reproach. Thanks Doug!

Absolutely amazing burger based on local beef!

Very yum tuna cutlet cheese burger, the cheese is a suprise inside the cutlet! The tuna stake is nice and Doug's burger features a very well seasoned patty. Unfortunately the wait is way too long, the best way is to come, register your group and go for shopping or a walk rather than keep waiting. There is also the cafe a few doors down.

Tried Doug's Burger and Doug's Tuna Steak Burger. The burgers are not cheap but they taste good and you get friendly and quick service.

Delicious! They serve burgers with yellow fin tuna and Tarama beef. I chose the tuna, it was nicely cooked and seasoned. Also available some Californian wines that I didn't sample.

Delicious gourmet beef burgers and tuna burgers. Definitely worth the patience and price. I recommend getting here a bit early, grab a reservation ticket at the machine to the right of the entrance. There’s English, just tap the screen. You can get a 100yen off coffee coupon and wait at Doug’s Coffee shop next door. Scan the QR code and you can see how long you have to wait. They’ll even call you if you enter your number. Didn’t wait too long, got seated at the counter. Was greeted with a nice placemat with Doug’s Burger’s story. Good read! Very well written. Got to see the food being made which only increased my appetite. Overall, great food and very good experience.

I enjoyed the burgers alot but it was pricey. So if your on a budget then don't go. But I loved the food there and the salad with onion sauce is something I would recommend

Seems like it’s pretty popular place in this island. Doug the owner is Japanese. Looks like he used to live in Hawaii. The restaurant is casual and clean. There are counter tables to long table so you can come as a group if it’s not crowded. Tuna burger is rare but I didn’t have it. I had cheese burger. Meat is super juicy and soft. I can see how Japanese love this. I personally like a bit firm. I think they used cheddar cheese but kind of tasted cheap. I should had it without cheese. Fries are excellent. Good seasoning of garlic and rosemary. I’d come back again just to eat the fries. Great perfect burger bread as well. Oh they even give you a wrapping paper to eat the burger. Amazing. U can see how juicy your burger was at the end.

Great burger and excellent onion rings. There is usually a wait but they will buzz your phone, so you can wait in your car or at Doug’s Cafe, which has great coffee and they give you a ¥100 off coupon.

we tried tuna burger and beef cheese burger.We think beef burger is more tasty.and the bread is very crispy.we tried "third burger" at queenstown, NZ before, compare to here, "third burger " must get five star.

It happened when I searched while traveling, so it was a great answer when I went.I ordered Miyako beef and local ingredients, and burger was quite authentic. I ordered Lava, but it was the best cheesy & juicy.The poster hanging on the wall and the burger skewers are airplanes, I searched and I liked big airplanes, and now I have a license and own Cirrus!From the poster, imagine that you like the flying boat Clipper system around the 1930s.The number of chain stores is increasing, and the main store is in Kyushu and only one store is in Taiwan.

Insane onion rings. Amazing how they prepared them - you'll be able to watch. Burgers incredibly juicy - interestingly cooked in the oven. Wish I had gone for the lava burger, but was watching my health :)Also really enjoyed reading about Doug's story. I'm doing the same as him, in Tokyo. Very inspiring.

First of all, you have to book before coming there, otherwise you can wait 2 or 3 hours easily. We were a bit disappointed because we wait 1 hour in front of the restaurant, then the girl said you have to wait one more hour. After two hours she said is it ok if you eat separately... Anyway the burger’s and the onion rings was really good. I really recommend the LAVA.

Beef patty was very very flavorful yet the beef taste is strong. The cheese and "lava" was really good for any cheese loving person. Best onion ring ive tasted in a while.
